|
got a gererator last year from lidi got it home put in petrol and oil @ ratio of 1/50 worked a treat
today got it out and it wont start i have changed the fuel in case that had gone off it got a spark
so that works fuel is going into it as it's coming out of the spark plug hole.
I have removed the pullcord and used a drill to try and start it and still won't have it.
Any idea's anyone hoping to get it working for Abingdon 4x4 |

Hi m8, make sure the plugs dry and then pour a small amount of fuel into the head and give it a go. |

Forget the fuel in the head, if you have a weak plug or spark it wont generate enough to ignite.
Spray some brake cleaner directly into cylinder where plug fits, re fit plug, then start it. Once started leave running for a while, a good hour or so. If no problems its probably the plug.
Also there is a filter on the rear bottom that has to be soaked in oil, if its completely dry you wont get a good mix.
Personally i dont think its knackered at all, it just needs a kick to restart it. |

Could be the piston ring's stuck and not got enough compression put some WD40 in plug hole over night, you should run them up every couple of months
to keep them working, if still no joy get a cheep 75-100w inverter and connect to the paj and use your hook up to the inverter, you should be able to top
van battery up over night then give paj a run to top paj batteries up the next day. |

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the Lidl generators have a three year manufacturers warranty on them (with proof of course) |
