The standard L300 Delica has a slightly lower trim level than the Exceed and Super Exceed. For a start it usually only comes in the 8 seater version(two bench seats and small folding seat near door) and not the version with the swivelling captains seats. The armrest between the front seats on the storage box is not usually padded and trimmed in the same cloth as the seats.

Outside the main differences are the side steps. Some come without front side steps on the driver and passenger doors. The main side step on the sliding door is usually pressed steel and not tubular like the rest. Also the rear tube "bumper " doesent seem to come on the standard model.

Air con seems to be standard on all models, But sunroofs, skylight roofs seem to only be options on the higher spec Exceeds. (Although not standard - My Exceed hasn't got either.). Alloy wheels on the standard model are replaced by 8 spoke pressed steel, usually white.

Please don't take this as gospel though. Because it is just based on observations made of Delicas at various dealerships in the UK. I'm not an expert. . . . Smile

hi shep i dont know about the whereabouts on a delica but on a paj there is a little viewing glass just behind and to the left of the radiator its like a small metal canister with pipes goin in either side and has a small round glass hole in it .But to check the level properly you should really take it to an aircon specialist to get it tested and if neede recharged ...normal cost aroun £75.00 for both all the best marc.btw if you pop a post on the paj tech forum re aircon specialist up your way im sure someone will be able to recomend one for you hth marc 8) Laughing

HI SHEP
MARCS RIGHT IT IS THE SAME AS THE PAJEROS (ROUND CANISTER WITH ROUND SIGHTGLASS)
ON THE DELICA IT IS LOCATED AT THE FRONT TOWARDS THE NEARSIDE .IF YOU LAY UNDERNEATH THE FRONT OF THE DELICA AND LOOK UP YOU CAN JUST SEE IT BEHIND ONE OF THE UNDERSIDE GUARDS(FOLLOW THE PIPES TO IT)
THE HAYNES MANUAL FOR THE PAJERO EXPLAINS HOW TO CHECK THE AIR CON.
LET US KNOW IF YOU GET A PRICE TO HAVE IT REGASSED AS I WOULD BE INTRESTED TO SEE HOW MUCH IT COSTS.

HI SHEP
MY DELICA HAS NEVER HAD ILLUMINATED WINDOW SWITCHES,NOT TO SAY THEY SHOULDNT BE !
THE GEAR INDICATOR LIGHTS ON THE DASH ARE THE ONLY ONES I THINK THE DELICA HAS ,I DONT THINK THE MARKINGS BY THE GEAR LEVER DO LIGHT UP ,COULD BE WRONG THOUGH
AS FOR THE MISSING HEATER DUCT ARE YOU SURE ITS NOT PART OF THE INTAKE FOR THE AIR FILTER? AS THAT IS MOUNTED BELOW THAT HIDEY HOLE.
BACK TO LIGHTS MY REAR WINDOW WIPE SWITCH AND HAZARD LIGHT SWITCH HAVE NEVER LIT UP HAVE CHECKED FUSES ETC ALL OK SO ITS PROBABLY THE BULBS.I SAW AN ARTICAL ON A JAPANESE SITE ABOUT CHANGING THESE BULBS AND THEY ARE LIKE SMALL LED'S RATHER THAN NORMAL TYPE BULBS.
NICK Very Happy

Hmmmmm
The gear change indicator don't look like they light up on mine.
Have to rely on the dash display
AND the power window switched on the centre console definately lack illumination?!
Just as well I don't want to open the windows when its dark!
