Hi all,

Been looking into diesel tuning boxes 'chips' for the 3.2 DiD with electronic injector pump (not common rail).
There are not that many to chose from compared to the common rail stuff.
Came across the DTUK/Chip Express units (from the same German supplier from what I can tell).
They seem to have a pretty good reputation but the proof is in the pudding so to speak.
Any one got either of these or know someone?
The reviews I have found seem to be pretty positive in regards to economy and torque but several have mentioned flat spots/hunting at various engine/road speeds.
Any inputs or opinions appreciated Smile

Why are you looking in the UK?
You can get the chips in Australia.
http://www.chipit.com.au/
This company gets good reviews on the Triton forum in Australia.

Why not?
Yes, Australian companies have developed some world class product but they are also good at re-badging and re selling others at double-triple the price what I can buy them for from the UK. I am not saying that these chips are the best available  - but good value for money if they work well hence my question......
This whole 'chip' industry seems to full of rogue's, rip offs and rubbish I'm just like everyone else trying to get a good product at an affordable price.

Most of them come from the same factory in china Shocked
Personally I would buy locally so that if something went wrong I had some comeback.

I have a DTUK tuning box on my wife's 2007 Isuzu Rodeo and was very impressed with the additional shove it gave the pickup. It always felt really gutless before but after fitting the difference was quite noticeable and we've had no problems in over a year that its been fitted for.
We are probably going to be selling the pickup next year so I will be removing the box and sending it back to DTUK to have the connectors changed and re set up for the shogun (I think they charge about £100 for this)

I can recommend the Tunit products as they are well made and can be moved from vehicle to vehicle.

I order a plug in tuning box for my shogun, but as it turned out, my year (2004) is not compatible with these plug in units. The seller also said the pumps are not suitable for tuning and can fail, he offered me a full refund but I asked him if the unit could be fitted to my 2010 transit with the correct cable. He said the cable is the same for both, so I fitted it to the ford with good results...power+torque+MPG is all up. So It looks like all these units fit the common rail diesels with the correct cable, and a 2007 onwards shogun will take a tuning box from a tdci ford.
