This thread seems to have gone very quiet - is there anyone still using the lanes out THetford way?

I'm more used to covering the ground by bike, but it would be good to do a little light laning once I've picked up my new Mk3 and I know enough to wander off and go it alone Smile

Not driven these lanes for a few yrs, most are fine and easy thumbup

There is one lane, between the A1065 and A134 that has deepish soft sand that can catch you out, it's a Forestry Commission track Brandon side of Santon Downham  Wink

I reckon I know the one - it's the sort of place that desert riders come to practice and you need to keep up speed on a motorbike or else you bog down and you're in for a workout.

I've floated a big old BMW bike over that sand, but it sounds like it's going to be a bit different on 4 wheels. As I said, better not to go it alone (although one of my TRF mates is adamant he's done many of the local trails in his 2wd works van while dealing with various agricultural repair calls)
