On the Mk III, the big light clusters on the side of the car are clearly just decoration.
Has anyone ever come across someone supplying those 'clusters' with bulbs? |

If it's similar to the Mk2 then the Shogun has lights in the bumper to comply with EU lighting regulation and the lights in the body don't do much.
The Pajeros have no bumper lights and everything works in the lights in the body.
Maybe a Mk3 Pajero has fully working lights in the body so could use those - not sure if the wiring is present in a Shogun though.
I assume yours is a Shogun. |

Yup.
But I assume I could try to find Pajero light clusters with their wires and fit those.
The ones in the bumper are just constantly dirty. Not even safe I think. |

Pajero ones will fit I assume as the body is the same - not sure if the wiring in the truck will have the connectors though - not a big job to add them though.
The reason for the lower lights on the Shogun is so that they are not obscured by the spare wheel when viewed from certain angles. |

You will be glad to know all wires are present behind the clusters.
I bought genuine Mitsubishi bulb holders and drilled a hole to put in a single brake light bulb.. it looks yum.
Haven't had the chance to unplug the brake light from the bumper.. will leave the side lights in the bumper (similar to the new models)
Tried to source the Pajero cluster which look cool but they were working out at £50 each (from Dubai)
Let me know if you need any help or guidance mate.. |

That sounds great. Thanks guys for the info.
I am not sure I want 5 brake-lights on the car, but already having extra rear lights will be good for visibility. |

i have been looking in to this and i was thinking i might buy some individual LED's some red and orange and drill the clusters and wire these in so they light up the cluster (breaks and indicators as needed) but from LED's. the mk4 is the same lights in the bumper but breaks in the cluster a reverse lights in the cluster but indicators you can see in the bumper |

Isn't it easier (and cheaper) to buy a set of these (as the bulbs etc are already in) rather than starting to break your own clusters, add LED's, etc? |

I have a 2004 3.2 Shogun Warrior, looking to reincarnate the rear light cluster also.
Any further developments from The Swede? I was looking at the mk3 lights from Lithuania mentioned below, and if the wiring block just clicks in, it seems easier than finding bulb holders and soldering wires. £100 seems fair for the pair including bulbs and wiring harness to slot into the connector - IF it works...
Any member successfully fitted these? |

I've started to install bulbholders and bulbs in my original clusters.
Next I need to wire up bulb per bulb as the wiring loom stops at the plug (6 or 7 wires going in and only 2 hole open to let wires go out) |

I've bought some sockets myself and did the wiring. (the wires arrive in the connector but do not come back out, so there is a bit of work needed).
Works fine now. I got lights and brakes also in the rear clusters |
