Evening all,
Went green laning over the weekend, had a great morning but on the drive home i had loss of power then engine cut out!!!!1 managed to limp it home stopping and starting all the way. Ill be looking at it more this weekend to try and diagnose but reading on here sounds like the fuel pump seal.
My question, is member “mark3” from rainham still about to install a new one if that is the cause.
I’m unable to private message him and the website for him doesn’t seem active.
Cheers guys |

Your issue dont sound like its pump seal related, defective pump seal symptom you'll first see will be stalling shortly after cold starting, it may do it a few times but once the engine has warmed up some itll be fine for the rest of the day until next cold start so if you had troubles after a mornings driving its not going to be that.
1st port of call would be to check for ingress of air into the fuel system usually from corroded steel fuel pipes at the rear end of the vehicle, dont waste your time replacing the rubber hoses, they seem to last for ever........ |
