Hi all
First time on here. I bought a 2004 Shogun elegance 3.2 did 3 weeks ago. Came with 2 fobs, one with a naff casing so was using the other one. After a week or so its operation started to become intermittent so thought it may need a new battery. Purchased some and fitted one. There was a label covering the metal clasp where the battery fits so I didn't see the positive symbol. Fitted it with the battery symbol opposite where it should have been. The red light came on and stayed on. I removed the battery and fitted it where it should have been after removing hhe aforementioned label. Now it lights up when the button is pressed but no response from the Shogun apart from once when the alarm went off.
My question is, Have I damaged the fob in some way or unprogrammed it?
Any help much appreciated
Richard

Try a re-sync, stand near the vehicle, press and hold both buttons until the red fob light goes out, then press and hold the large button.

Thanks Mike. Just tried it and it's now working. I think this might be the first of many questions!
