Hi Guys my dash light tells me a door is open & interior lights stay on all the time, have checked the front door switches they seem ok cant get to the middle door switch, cant even see the tailgate switch?? has anyone had this problem , thought perhaps a relay could be sticking, the remote locking wont work because it thinks a door is open !! Oh anyone know how to replace the compass bulb??

Found out my tailgate had been held up by the ladder attached to it , it did close & lock, god knows where the sensor is, cant see anything!! still panic over

Hi Deputy Dawg

I've got a 93 Delica but I expect the tailgate light switch will be the same as in your 96 model.

The actual switch is built into the lock. You can test this by using a screwdriver in place of the hasp with the tailgate open. Push the screwdriver in and your lock should engage and interior lights should go out. Use the tailgate door release (the door handle, not the electronic switch) to open your lock again.

A quick spray of 3 in 1 or WD40 should get your switch moving again.
