Hi all,

There are also SMD (surface-mounted device) components available. You can use them but handling of those is difficult because they are really tiny.

In RS SPARES, the easiest component is GM102, stock# 256-102 ,it is in same price category but much easier to solder.

Hi all Very Happy ,

I fitted the "thing" in the phot I sent.... it works but gives the WRONG temps as NTZ Marko predicted (I trust you Marko, you know what you are doing Wink )... There is an "offset" or "shift" in the temp reading by 30C... so while we had a nice and warm weekend (inside temp 21C... the display read -9C Laughing Laughing .... at least it doesn't show and Error message!

So I'll check RS online (thanks Stumpey!) for a 1K thermistor... till then I leave the chilling freezing temp. reading to psychologically cool us down in hot Cyprus 8) Laughing 8)

Top men Stumpy & NTZ, visited the RS web page and typed in the part No, not in stock but would be available from 10:00 the next day.

As I'm an impatient Ba***rd, Twisted Evil  dropped in on my way to work, only in Green lane Hounslow, and soldered on in their car park Very Happy
