Hi,
I have just bought a 1992 SWB jap import and I replaced the old radio with my SONY CDX-M800 but each time I remove the key from the ignition the radio loses its memory as if its receiving no power whatsoever when the engine isnt running. Any ideas greatly appreciated! |

Somebody onhere will be able to give you the wiring diagram for the stereo - alternatively search for stereo AND wiring in the search facility at the top.
the problem is that you have not connected the permanent live to the back of the stereo - this will ensure that radio stations etc are permanently stored. |

if you do a search ( red at the top ) there is a wiring diagram somewhere for the radio. or have a look at the wires on your new stereo and put a permanant live feed into the live wire that feeds the memory

theres usualy a red wire and a yellow wire on the adapter harnes - swop em round as ones perminent feed & 1 is ignition feed ( I had to do this to a few radios ) might be worth checking with a test light though as I'm writting this from memory |
