|
|
All I can find on here when searching for glowplugs are the issues people have been seeing with the different types.
My club plugs should arrive today but as yet I haven't found any of the usual informative posts (ie EGR) on how to actually change them.
Is there a post or should I just refer to the haynes?
Cheers in advance peeps

It's fairly simple - move the intercooler out of the way to get better access, remove the busbar (check the condition of the wire connection, make sure it's all tight and clean). Then clean the area around each plug, remove it, and replace with new! Then put busbar back on and test. |

Under the bonnet!
Under the intercooler (horizontal radiator type thingy) is a strip of metal about 1/4 inch wide connecting the top of the glow plugs together. There is also a wire going to it which feeds the electric. The metal strip is the busbar.
If you're not too sure on how to work on the engine, I'd suggest either waiting for the books to arrive, or getting a more experienced mate to give you a hand. |

Good on ya mate - have a go.
I did, and I'm not mechanical at all.
Easy job when you get in there. |
