For the past couple of years Ive taken out the recovery along with my insurance with Adrian Flux. I think the renewal this year was £42. This also covers European and Homestart.
I did ask how their recovery pricing works as it just sounded very cheap. Im told they allocate each member £3000 of recovery each year, but once the £3000 is used up then it comes out of your own pocket.
Not sure how much recovery you get for £3000 but I had to use it twice last year, once when my old Pajero threw a rod just outside Louth in Lincs, and again when the alternator packed up on the Volvo I bought as an emergency replacement for the Paj.
Both times , fantastic service. When the Paj threw the rod, guy turns up in a nice clean recovery wagon. Loads it up and carries it all the way back to Rochdale, absolutely no problems.

One major difference between the Adrian Flux scheme and our own club scheme is (I believe) that the POCUK scheme is totally independent ... the AF scheme is tied in with their insurance ... you HAVE to have an AF motor policy to be able to get their breakdown scheme Wink
