HI ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS ABOUT A NOISE FROM THE FRONT LEFT OF MY 91 DELICA L300 IT ONLY OCCURS ON RIGHT HAND CORNERS(A REAL PAIN ON ROUNDABOUTS).ITS A GRAUNCHING TYPE SOUND AND IS LOUDER THE MORE LOAD YOU PUT ON IT.
HAVE CHECKED THE TYRE PRESSURES
THAT THE WHEEL ISNT RUBBING ANYWHERE(NO ABNORMAL WEAR)
WHEEL BEARINGS
IT DOES IT IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AS WELL
HAD AT LOOK AT WISHBONE BUSHES ETC NO PLAY OBVIOUS
AUTOHUBS OK
NO NOISE FROM THE FRONT RIGHT
HAVE NOW RUN OUT OF IDEAS ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE WELCOME
THANKS NICK
hi matey sounds like it could be a drivshaft from wot u describe. As u turn rite u get noise on left ....so sound like the shaft on the left has had it ...if u look at the boots that cover the shaft at each end see if there split ...if so its spued the grease out hence the noise ...hope this helps u all the best marc
THANKS CHECKED THE DRIVESHAFT BOOT ALL OK NO PLAY THAT I CAN SEE IN THE DRIVESHAFT.
ALSO SOUNDS STUPID BUT DOES THE DRIVESHAFT TURN IN ANYWAY WHILST IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE AS I THOUGHT THE WHEELS RAN FREE BECAUSE OF THE AUTOHUBS
