I'll always remember his bullbar, which he kept covered with a tow strap because he said his Mum didn't like it.
It had stickered on it...

The Lawn Rover killer stickers he had on the side and the Stoke-Paris-Dakar rally plates I made for him....
What a brilliant sense of humour he had.... |

i remember the first time i met Nick in person, it was chillin 2008, we were trying to put the light's up in the top of the gazzibo but couldn't reach so Nick suggested using his ladder on his SHINEY truck, he very carefully drove into the gazzibo taking care to miss the corner poles and checking he would miss the crossbar, as his truck got inside i banged on the side of his truck, very hard and very loud, Nick SHAT himself he thort he'd brought the whole thing down, we rolled about laughing. later that night we all shared some seriously strong polish vodka (thanks to DDC) we all used the same glass as Nick said no chance of germs with vodka that strong, and we had more laughs till the early hours.
fond memories |

I was just reminded about the first Chillin in Stourport. He put a YD on a Land Rover parked elsewhere on the site and when the owner came over to return it he tried to get him to join the club!!!

[b]I have not been on the site for a long time due to work commitments and other things, I went on today and have just found out about Nicks passing and I am knocked back, Nick was one of the first people to help me with a problem when I first joined the site, as we chatted we found out we had a lot in common, and we fell about laughing at each other when we chatted about "Boots & Gaiters" although we never met in person, Nick soon became classed as a friend, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Kath (Mrs Nick, I am sorry it is late) but he was one of a kind, wish we had served together. it was a privelage.
Thoughts are with you and all his friends.
Best Wishes
John |
