Strange one this ,

If i try to access the site from my work, i get the message i am banned from the board, and cannot access anything

Clearly I'm not,  as I'm typing this mail

(Remember its 11 months to Christmas!  i gather data early )

Only thing i can think of is, the servers we use are based in Germany, so even though I'm in the UK, to all  web intents it looks like I'm in Germany

Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Looks like you using a intranet server.
Anything you're company see as pleasure, holiday, social sides can be blocked.
The way to go around it would be you send a link to yourself by email from yourself to you're work PC.
In this case you go into Pocuk.

There's always a way to piss you're boss off if he pisses you off. Ha ha

May go into you're internet access settings and see what is blocked in there, and try to unblock.
But be carefull, German company's known for checking on you, so they can see what you see on you're PC
Just by loging onto yours without you knowing.
Called remote access.
If they supply software or hardware it can be already installed.

Yes its an intranet server ...

for the blocked stuff,  pron games , gambling etc, we get a blocked page and a server 500 error i think

Maybe someone is banned from it, using the same server.
Or the virus booker filters any intranet out.
There's lots of options.

Could be the server things you a spam?
An admin should sort this out.
