While sorting out the wiring for my rear number plate light, I found that the red plastic strip accross the rear tailgate has a pair of lights behind it! I checked the bulbs and they work - but the lights do not come on with the sidelights or the brakelights. Anybody know know what should activate them?
The problem with the number plate light was that there are fancy plate holders fitted that light the plate from behind - these will not work with UK plates so I had to re-wire the original lights.
The good news is my registration documents are ready - I'll pick them up lunchtime, phone the number to the plate-maker and he'll have them ready for after work. Then plates on and I'm driving tonight! Pukka import plates that fit my fancy holders even if the lights behind them don't work!

The lights you desrcribe behind the red relector are I believe for the Illumination of the word " DELICA" . The lettering looks chrome in daylight but lights up green at night , looks really cool too! |
