My Paj. has arrived with a radio that has a narrow FM bandwidth. I am told that I need to fit a 'band expander'. Does anyone know where I can purchase such a thing and also how to fit it. On the other hand is the person who told me this havin' a laugh? Thanks, Cathy |

Pete, thanks for your offer. Unfortunately I went ahead and ordered one from Milners - my loss. More haste less speed perhaps. Best wishes, Cathy |

I just had the old radio taken out and a new UK spec one put in. The guys at DH electronics in East Finchley were really helpful and installed it in about 20 minutes. They even connected it to the CD player that came with the Japanese spec system and it all works. All this due to my preference for access to a variety of radio stations that stay tuned in.
Good Luck |

The unit that was in my pajero (a 1993 SWB) was a carrozerria head unit (radio/cassette KEH-P300) and seperate CD player. Carrozerria is a Japanese brand name used by Pioneer.
The unit that replaced the head was the Pioneer KEH-P1010R. The 1010 fit into the gap left by the old unit. |

Should I get a band expander, or replace the stereo?
I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. Also - how much should I pay for a band expander? The Milner's link earlier on in this thread is a dead end.
Only got my Paj this lunchtime, and already the lack of choice of radio station has caused me concern - have you ever listened to Radio 2 on a Sunday afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
