Hello everyone.

Does anyone know of any approved svo conversion companies in the northeast of England. As I am far too scared to attempt the challenge myself?

Many thanks.

Veg oil is too thick for direct injection engines, and doesn't have the same lubricating and cooling properties that diesel has. The fuel pump will struggle too.
Stick to diesel or biodiesel that has the same properties as diesel. Leave SVO/WVO well alone.

thanks for the reply gents. yes i am driving a 3.2 did, sorry for not mentioning it earlier. I was considering the bio fuel option however sourcing a supply in my area (newcastle) has proved difficult so far.

thank you once again.

Trust me If you will go with SVO /WVO option as fuel yours 3.2 then have spare 1-2k for new injection pump maybe injectors as well on direct injection engines they are big NO NO option but you will do what you like that's is just friendly advice

Take this the right way but I'm often stunned that people will buy a large 4x4 and be surprised that it won't do 50 to the gallon ... just what are you getting and what are you expecting ?

Driven sensibly 30 mpg is a good average, I can get more on a run but 30mpg on a car weighing in at a shade under three tons isn't bad going.

By their very nature and purpose large 4x4's are expensive to run.

My 3.2 gets 29.5 running around and about 35/36 on a run, but I switch Cyril on (cruise control) as this is more efficient then using the throttle pedal.

Keep it on highway tyres, All Terrains and Muddies really hit the consumption.
Also keep it below 60mph and 2000rpm.
I went from thirty plus to mid twenties when I fitted Grabber AT's  Evil or Very Mad
