Yes that's right, I got a text from his other half Julie this afternoon, poor old Rick passed away last night, he died of stomach cancer.
Everyone who has seen Marks (Venns) post knew he was ill but not just how serious it was, he told me himself a while ago as I was hoping to pop in to see him on my way up to Scotland after he very kindly passed my number onto one of his customers as he couldn't get to him.
We only met once way back in 2011 but it was enough for me to know he was a proper gent, my self my missus and Rick chatted for hours at a motorway service station somewhere north of Manchester and we got on like house on fire for hours and we kept in touch regularly ever since, he has helped countless people on here with advice (Inc myself) and hands on help too and I know he will be sadly missed, my thoughts go out to his family (who I haven't met) as it's a terrible thing to go through let alone at this time of year.
So my mate oop north has gone to the big garage in the sky, RIP Buddy, where ever you are I hope you giving em hell

Rick ...
joined us in 2009 and over the years became one of the group's most prolific, helpful members who will be remembered by many.
A sad, sad day.
RIP buddy.
