Pajero 2.8 electronic shock replacement

Hi.
I'm in the middle of replacing all 4 shock absorbers on my Mitsubishi pajero 2.8 turbo diesel,it has the electronic shocks currently fitted. But I'm replacing with normal shocks. The new shocks I've been supplied with have a narrower lower bush, top fitting pin isn't as wide. Is this normal when not replacing with electronic shocks. Or should they be the same size regardless. Any help appreciated.
