Can nyone help? I have  2007 Shogun. The sterring wheel audio controls and cruise controls were working intermittently depending what angle the steering wheel was at, thus pointing to the issue being the clock spring.  Ive replaced the clook spring and all the audio controls work fine but none of the cruise controls work,  it doesn't even let me turn it on. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be?

Did you test the cruise-control switch (inside the steering wheel) and connectors before reassembling ?

I replaced the steering wheel with a wood-trimmed version recently and discovered its cruise-control switch was faulty and so had to swap it for the switch in the original unit. There is a plug/socket junction on that switch (inside the steering wheel) with a short fly-lead with its other end connecting to the clock spring (on my mark 3 that is a 3-pin connector with red/black/green cable colours).

My uncle is looking to get this Shogun project with an intermittent cruise control issue. The current owner said his son messed with the steering wheel before it happened. We'll just finish installing the new suspension and bumper from 4Wheeonline onto the Wrangler this week before we can take a closer look at the Shogun.

Have you tried checking the fuses and brake lights?

There doesnt appear to be a fuse for the cruise control? Also, what difference would the brake lights make? I had a brake light and front light out but jave replaced the bulbs with leds.
