Hello there, new to the forums.

I recently bought a Shogun elegance NS (2008) and was wondering what the process is to get an aftermarket radio in as what i have gathered you need to do some wiring to get the amp to switch on. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Can i then just use the iso cable from a non Rockford unit?

Also there is a built in rear camera that i would like to keep and after searching online there are retention cables for it, but they have an 8 pin connector and I can’t find it behind the unit. Will i have to replace and re-wire the camera?

On an unrelated note, I’m fairly sure the torque converter isn’t locking up and the cruse control wont work until i have been driving for at least 20 min. Related? If i could get pointed in the right direction to start diagnosing it that you’ll be great.

Thanks for you patience and time.

How do you know your torque converter isn't locking up as to lock it you have to be going downhill anf over speeding by 5 - 10 MPH before it begins locking and the cruise control only works at speeds over 20 MPH.

I don’t think it’s locking up as it behaves very differently to the mk3 even though it has the same gearbox and won’t lock up when engine breaking or cruising

Crude control won’t turn on or of, or work at over 20mph for
