I have a 1994 Delica and have had it for the past 18 months. This is a great vehicle, the auto transmission is the same as used in the V6 Pajero and also on early model 4x4 cherikee's.

I have just returned back from touring NSW, it towed a camper trailer everywhere. The only problem we had was on the way home, we got into sydney and the transmission was starting off in a high gear (2500-3000 rpm and just starting to move) Evil or Very Mad . On taking it to Dave Jones Automatics in Seven Hills, he connected a Snap-on Diagnostic instrument, told it the Delica was a V6 with Auto and the fault came up ( solenoid 1 open circuit), anyway to cut a long story short, replacing that didn't fix it and his electrical man refered me to Northshore Mitsubishi. They connected the Mitsubishi computer (MUTT2) and it read the same fault ( they do have the rom pack to read Japan imports, but this wasn't needed with my vehicle). They fixed it after a couple of days checking all the wiring and plugs, it turned out to be a faulty connector in a plug. It's been great since Very Happy , alot of information was learnt on the vehicle and I had some great services to help:

If your in Sydney don't go past Dave Jones Automatic's,

RACQ Ultra care is a must for travelling it saved us 4 days of hire car and caravan park fees, and

Northshore Mitsubishi (Brett Wright) are dam good at their job and all to willing to help and learn about this vehicle on the way.
