It was replaced under warranty. The car is on a 52 plate, registered Sep 02.

Try changing the gearbox oil as if not correct type gear selection will be difficult! I had 2nd & 3rd gear syncro renewed on mine and and found it reluctant to go in gear. Main prob is that garages usually remove box
and send to specialist for repairs, they then refit the box and usually put either cheap or wrong grade of oil in.

Thanks for the thought on the oil Pete. Horners have checked the oil and installed the correct grade. It is true I didnt trust whatever Bramwells had put in cos they wouldnt/couldnt give me the grade when I asked them for the spec....... very dodgy

It is all a bit academic now anyway, some ba**t*rd stole it from off my drive this morning.........

I hope the box blows up in his face Evil or Very Mad
