|
|
Hi all
I have been trying to find a reference to the wiring up of rear foglamps in previous posts.
I seem to remember somebody a few months ago saying that there is wiring already in situ behind one of the blanks on the dash that runs to the rear of the Paj to enable foglamps to be connected.
Can anybody confirm that this is so or, if not, tell me the easiest way to run the wiring and the connection process etc.
cheers

hi mick i dont thik theres is existing wiring in the front for rear fogs, there is for front fogs ie spots but not the rear to my knowledge.
The easiest wy to do it is unscrew the floor trim edging on the drivers side front and rear this exposes the bare edge of the carpet, remove the small trim in the drivers side footwell .Find a suitable point to mount your switch on the dash, then run two cables from the switch down behind dash behind trim ,then along the length of the car, under the trims you have taken up .if the switch requires its own neutral then run this down to behind the trim in the drivers footwell and you should gind a bolt with neutrals already attached just mount this there .at the rear of the paj mount your light in a suitable position and then drill a hole large enough to take two cables (one from switch and one from lite to earth point ).Then remove your right rear light cluster and with the aid of a tester and someone else find the light feed for the tail lights (only live when on )connect one of your cables from switch to this .(this energises the switch only when lights are on ).Then with the second wire from switch feed this down to the fog light and connect ,then run earth from lite upto the inside of paj and earth near the rear aircon unit,u should find a suitable point there then make of your connections at the switch and hey presto hope this helps and is easy enought ot follow all the best marc |
