Recharge or No Charge
Let Kwik Fit recharge your Air Con while-u-wait for only £44.95. We will replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels in line with your manufacturer’s recommendation. If we cannot improve the coolest vent temperature from your car by more than 10% when measured in degrees Celsius - then you pay nothing at all.*
* Please note if the ambient temperature around the car is less than 9 degrees Celsius it may affect the results of the AirCon recharge test results. In these circumstances, it is at the managers discretion whether to offer a refund with results less than 10%. |
This sounds like a good deal.

|
|
Hi,
Had my air con re-gassed a couple of weeks ago and it developed a leak along the passenger side pipe. (Leaking bright green dye).
Took my LWB 2.8 Paj back to the place who gassed it and they said the rear air con unit was leaking. They said the pipes are 200 squid
each from local Mitsi firm in Deeside
They suggested blocking off the rear unit with two plugs. However, after they had finished the work they couldn't get the air con to work, since
the machine that fills the unit couldn't fill it.
They're not specialists in air con, so I didnt want them to do anymore work on my truck.
I've had a look in "Aircon re-gas - who does it? (Check here)" thread but couldn't find an address in Deeside, North Wales.
Any suggestions as to where I can get an expert to look at it and fix it ? |

Horse feathers. To convert from CFC R12 "old gas" to "new gas" is fairly straight forward for a competant engineer. R134a requires a change of system oil and seals plus new refrigerant or RS24 (new, new gas!!!!) which is a drop in but needs a corrected ammount due to performance. The problems/costs lie in the LEGAL disposal of the R12( if there is any left in the system).
I run my own Refrigeration and A/C business on the South coast, 07786075527, ammechanicalservices.co.uk Portsmouth yellow pages under refrigeration engineers, am registered with Refcom and have 15 years experience on all refrigeration and A/C, commercial, domestic, retail and transport. I have worked in the best and worst places, my little picture is me in Iraq, as a civillian contractor, after repairing the Challengers A/C.
I am hands on and do not just plug it into a machine, press a button and walk away as a lot of places do. I charge £30 no vat for a system check and, only if required, a nitrogen pressure leak test, vac, oil and recharge for £40. I also check the pollen filter, if fitted. Any parts (filters, drier, pipes etc) are extra and would only be fitted after giving a quote. I come to you (within 25 radius of J11 M27) at home or work.
I have two 3.0l LWB Shoguns, one live for getting to difficult places and one for spares.
If you call and mention POCUK I will give a 10% discount.
Regards |
