just a thought, but as svo appears to be extremely good as a lubricant and protector for fuel pump seals, if I put in 1 litre a month as an additive only is this ok? no difference to using redex or similar it would appear; is redex taxed by the government? Wink

Good point Cole. But why only 1 litre? Personally i would normally put 20 litres of svo in with 20 litres of diesel, just to be certain of good lubrication. Wink Wink

I read the C & E booklet today & all additives are liable for the duty the only thing you can put in your tank without duty is water,some help that is.

The frogs do it. Biodiesel is added to all petrodiesel in France as a lubricity replacement in ultra low sulphur diesel. The three main French oil companies add 5%; Shell International adds just 2%. They don’t even bother to tell you at the pumps.
