Hi,
I have just bought a 1992 SWB jap import and I replaced the old radio with my SONY CDX-M800 but each time I remove the key from the ignition the radio loses its memory as if its receiving no power whatsoever when the engine isnt running. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Somebody onhere will be able to give you the wiring diagram for the stereo - alternatively search for stereo AND wiring in the search facility at the top.

the problem is that you have not connected the permanent live to the back of the stereo - this will ensure that radio stations etc are permanently stored.

if you do a search ( red at the top ) there is a wiring diagram somewhere for the radio. or have a look at the wires on your new stereo and put a permanant live feed into the live wire that feeds the memory
