I keep getting different information about using 4H on tar (bitumen) roads. Can anyone advise if it's OK to use 4H on the tar. or does it 'wind up' the front diff as indicated in a lot of forums. Thanks |

Yes it will wind up the diff we dont use a viscous centre diff on the
sport or Challenger and so if te wheeels rotate at odd speeds they will wind up , only use 4H on mud and snow or under icely condtions and come out as soon asd poss . |

But if you have a Mk2 Paj with the SuperSelect transfer box, that does have a centre diff and so it is perfectly ok to use 4H on tar roads. |

I have to say I would have to know the transmision number to coment , normaly the super select trans has a centre diff and aloows for axle rotation inballance , where as the normal sport / chalenger does not .
best way to test put in 4wh try driving in a circle at approx 10 mph and if the vehicle starts to drive as if a brake is being applied , it does not havce a centre diff , make sure though that centre diff lock has not been engaged . |

Thanks for the reply...my Challenger doesn't have a centre diff lock, although some literature says you can drive in 4H up to 100kmh |
