The Pitman arm is the lump of steel that connects the steering box to the track rods. It has a tapered female spline at one end and a knuckle joint at the other. Mitsi made a bad batch of arms that in theory could fall apart, so issued a recall.

Contact your nearest Mits Main Agent, tell them your VIN number, and they should tell you if the fix has already been done or whether it still needs doing.

Hi,

How is this effected in newly imported models, I haven't had my paj for more than a month and it would have been at the garage previous to that.

Can they check models that have been imported during the lets say past six months or is it highlighted when the vech is checked by whoever does the checking?

Hope someone can understand this post, I think I've confused myself!!!
lol, Laughing Laughing Laughing
Confused Confused Confused

Cheers,
Paul

I contacted Mitsubishi when mine was a fresh import and they said it was not part of the recall. I can't vouch for how accurate this information is but they indicated that the chassis number was all that was needed to see if the recall applied. Best advice I can give is try them and see what response you get. HTH
