I think a tenner is well worth it. It's great to belong.
I can see a few pitfalls along the way however such as accountability etc,
which is when comittees are formed and the whole thing falls apart through internal politics!!!!!!

Hi Richie,

since starting this thread, (21st July), we've had 9 club contributions, totalling £110.00

A big 'thank you' to those of you who have made contributions to the club, financial or otherwise!

Simon.

Working on the presumption that you accept non-Pajero owners as members, I've sent in my contribution. If I'm wrong, perhaps you'll let me know. £10.00 is less than any other Club, and a lot of what I read on this site is of use to me.
Regards,
John.

Don't kid about it Marc, you'll probably get a receipt in the post. I have each time that I have donated a voluntary contribution to help Simon keep the site free.

If I'm still allowed to post as a Prado owner........ Embarassed Embarassed

It's a tricky one as the club needs money to go further/safeguard the future, but I think a subscription should be in place. Perhaps you can be allowed to register and view posts only, but not post until you are a paid up member.

That way peeps can see what is on offer in terms of help etc before they commit their cash. Having said that, a £10 isn't a great deal these days. especially for the money saving tips in the forum. It might also stop a lot of the postings about the same subjects - dash bulbs/aircon/EGR to name but 3!!

Subscription should be on an annual basis as well.

Na, the forum should be free for whomever, the tight@rses arn't worth worrying about.

Couple of other options- you could quite easily install limited bandwidth access for non-registered members though, ie x no of pages, then you have to join and pay or whatever, but get to sample the forums first. Or paid members could have special forum status so we can make snide remarks at the cheapskates.
