Black smoke, nope not touched anything else! was on the m40 and noticed that the outside temperature went up to 40 degrees and looked behind an it was smoking a bit. its still got plenty of power but it just seems to be really rich and i dont want to start turning the pump pressure down.

try sum injector cleaner in the tank see what happens have you fitted the egr plate right? have you put the little rubber hose back on the egr? if so take it off and is it blocked? some people put a ball bearing in it or a screw

yep i put a core plug in the inlet manifold and in the pipe from the zorst, it already had a screw in the vacum line to the egr valve, i reckon it either injectors or a pump problem seeing as its doing the same with the boost hose's off! Any other ideas guys? i will put some injector cleaner in the old bus now

why does it need to suck in cold air? i thought it was only a vacum off one of the solenoids to open the egr?
