Hi,

My 2.8 auto TD starts a treat every day from cold or warm with very little to no smoke. However, if I have been driving for a few minutes and stop a junction or lights, it gives a nice cloud of greyish black smoke when pulling away. The performance is great and it accelerates well, just the clound now and again.

I have the EGR blanked off, had new filters fitted and added washers to the waste gate. I have even given a couple of doses of deisel additive.

I use BP or SHELL every third fill.

Any ideas how I can reduce the smoke??
