Had my 1993 Pajero over a month, 2.5TD LWB, towing a heavy caravan, struggles a bit up hills, but don't know you got it on otherwise.

Looking at fitting a couple of the fans in air system from Hiclone , said to improve lower down torque and improve fuel consumption.
1 before the turbo and one after, cost £69.99 each.

Does anybody have any information before I start spending my hard earned cash Question

cheers Elcid 8)

elcid... dont waste your cash, these things were on the go a couple of years ago, and the general, and scientific opinion was that it does not work
at all.

Cheers
Geo.

It's up to you how you waste your hard earned cash !!

But if there is any gadget that can be proved to significantly
reduce fuel consumption by simply fitting it into the air intake
or fuel filter then you would hear about it on News at Ten !!

As for the Hiclone, I can't comment as to how effective
it would be, but read the spec of it, then think about what
a Turbo does !!

You could also take a look at the alternatives !!

Well here's my 2 bobs worth (sorry Australian expression for 2 shillings - yep we used to have them once upon a time too!)

I have had Hiclones fitted for a year now and I am not removing them... fdor me they work.

Yes, think about a turbo.... its ramming air... but not in the swirling manner that this device imparts to the air at the closest point to the inlet ports that you can possibly get it.... I guess you could say that it grooms the air. My short spell with pneumatics at uni has me convinced that I am getting more air IN.

NOw for my stats.....

pre Hiclone I would climb a certain section of road going up the range to my home in 3rd gear by the time I got to the top...... Now I can reach the top in 4th.
The Paj blows less smoke at "lugging" revs and my 90Ltr tank will now regularly take me 850-900 Kms where as b4 I was really luck to get 800 Kms....

For me they work!!!!!
Of course, results depand on driving habits so I guess for some lead footed people they are going to pump more fuel through no matter what!

1991 NG TDi LWB. 285000 Kms 215x85 R16 Kumhos, Alloy Bullbar, Narva Bull lights(130W Qis) Cruise control and Sony CD replacing the tape player.
