Hello people,

I cant seem to find the info i need on removing the rear windows, they are sliding windows and i have some tints turning up some day soon and cant quite figure it out. Do i just stick a screwdriver in to the trim and pull it out or do i have to detach the entire plastic interior trim that goes from the back of the car up to the front seat belt connector? If anyone knows of a write up anyone has done with pics that would be helpful?

Thanks

i know on the lwb you remove the inner trim that goes over the wheelarch and round the window, then there are 4 clips that hold the window in.Don't know if it's the same for a swb.

On the swb just pull up the rubber trim, theres 4 brass coloured clips, get someone to hold the window from the outside, and pop the clips off, then he window and it's frame will just push out as one unit. You don't got to touch any piece of interior plastic!

All I can say is good luck (you will need it) Laughing I took mine out to tint thinking it would make it easier and better looking job....but god I was wrong. After trying and removing 4 lots of tint I  gave up and put them back in then tried to tint them in the car,it was soooooo much easier to do upright tint went on first time  Very Happy  It might not look like a professional job but its good enough for me

dont use a screwdriver..... raid the kitchen draw and sneak out with a plastic spatula, use the handle end and you wont sctatch yer paintwork or tear the rubber

I removed a pair of rear side windows by laying on the seat and pushing them out with my feet. best get someone to catch them as they plop out on the ground.
plastic spatula and a squirt of washing up liquid makes refitting a breeze.

i have some in the barn if it goes really badly wrong.....

Hi,
Just tinted my rear windows on my lwb, both back doors, rear side windows and rear door window best tip i could suggest is use some good tinting film I used some £2.99 film and it is very thin and difficult to get to do what you want it to especially on the rear door window.

Hi guys,

How did you get on with this ...... ?

Just posted the below on a different thread before I saw this ....

Guys,

I fit Shogun sliding windows in my Paj about 2 years ago and they've been great.

I'm now wanting to tint them but my Local Tinting guy says it will be best to remove them. I can do this but once out I can't see how the frame breaks down to release the glass, anyone ever done it ?

  Thanks in advance,

Cheers James.
