Already got the aerial bud, in chrome, the brackets will be sorted just not sure how yet, that will be a finishing touch ... I think
Roof bar has arrived and picking up spots at the weekend in the wagon, save on the postage |

That's looking really good
I'm not sure I would have the patience for all that polishing, just doing my wheels is more than enough for me
Much easier to cover it all in mud |

I did this refurb on my wheels last weekend. Looked great, all in preparation for so new General Grabbers. The tyres went on today and they obviously had to rebalance so took the old weights off leaving parts that needed doing again.
Problem is that i cant match the old lacquer and the new lacquer so i'm going to strip it again. The question is do i re-lacquer or do i wax the wheels? And if i use wax what do i use?
All ideas gratefully received. |

Hi GAZZIZ
I am looking at refurbing my alloys and found this thread very inspiring
Just a quick numpty question though...
Did you use a machine, drill or elbow grease to do the polishing?
If you did the wetndry bit by hand did you use a sanding block? |

Awesome job fella, think its stirred everyone to have a go, wish the originals I have would clean up so well, (you knoe the ones, 5 spoke with a pitted finish)
We`ve just installed a powdercoating plant at work, so I may chuck em in there, along with anything else I can remove! |

Great post gaz. I've just picked up a tatty set of alloys for my shogun sport. I was wondering how many cans of spray paint remover i'll need to do four wheels? |
