Right the paj is dead and i think its the alarm a lazerline with the square fob, it will unlock and lock with the fob and when you turn the key the lights come on and the glow plugs charge.
However when i try to start her the light on the dash flashes rapidly, lots of clicking can be hurd from behind the dash, the lights go out on the dash then the alarm sounds and wont let me reset it for a few mins even with the alarm key
Im totaly stranded at home now carless with the missis in hospital this week so need it fixing asap

Can i disable it completly or could it be somthing else???

it did this when the batterys died but there is still power for lights radio doors etc there wasnt b4?

i did think starter motor but it wouldnt afect the alarm woud it??????????

PLEASE HELP i know its electrcal but im desperate thanks javan

Hi Javan
Could it be the battrey/s have failed......mine went today, double battery- both are stuffed. I think the bad one drags the good one down.
Try a set of jump leads from another car...connect em up and leave em for a few mins with the other car running...see if its any better/different.
I`m going shopping for batteries tomorrow if i can borrow a card for macro or costco.
good luck with the fix

It sounds like batteries to me also, i have a leisure battery in the caravan it is an 85 amp one and it is physically the same size as the paj ones  and the orientation of the terminals is the same has anyone used these on a paj ? they are priced at 39 quid each at the local caravan shop or would the discharge rate be to much for them.

It wouldn't be the Park/Neutral switch that stops the Auto Paj's from starting when it is in drive/reverse/1/2..... I have had experience with previous automatics, when the switch went t*** up, it wouldn't let the car start at all.

Immobiliser ????  Mine kicks in after 30 secs even with the alarm disabled. Turning the key then produces the same symptoms you've got - everything lights but no starter !!  Never tried on a paj but had a yank once with a dodgy ignition switch, ended up once in a carpark running a jump lead onto starter to kick it over !!

Theres a mobile alarm specialist up inkersall....i will try and find the number out...he did our 1st paj...but if you look at your literature for the alarm....probably just a  card type thing ...like a credit card...it should tell you the sequence to overide everything...hth Al

Sounds like a jammed starter ?
did you try rocking it in gear ?
stick it in gear and get someone to help you push the car forward n back in a rocking motion, that usually frees it up if it is a jammed starter...you may even hear it "Click" as it frees...HTH.
