Hi people.
Looking to put an auxillary fusebox in to help tidy my wiring up.
I have a 8 way blade fuse holder. The type thats in a plastic case with a clear lid, and 8 spades on the bottom and 8 on the top.
I am intending to run 2 wires from the battery to the fuse box, bend the bottom terminal spades over and solder a cable to these daisychain style to each set of 4.
What size cable is recommended for this? I am only goona be running accessories from this, ie, I currently have spots, subwoofer, alarm accessories, and phone kit etc. |

Hi Mark
The short answer is the bigger the better
the spots...2-100w lamps = 20A
" sub/amp = 10A
" alarm..minimal = 1A
" phone kit = 2A
If you go the a ICE type shop they will be able to advise on size + supply cable lugs etc. You could even go for gold plated but a total waste of £....

Mark
For the feed use 2 x 4mm squared wires from battery to fuse holder or one 6mm.
For the spotties use 2.5mm, good for 2 x 100W load. |
