Unsure if would even get to Megameet after probs with car. Had to mop Keiths brow and make reassuring noises when he thought temp gauge going up!
Finally arrived to the erecting of the Gazebos, (the small one goes here, the large one over there, here, there, u do the hokey cokey and u change them all around)Cheers to them all as I am *beep* putting them up.(Besides I can fit under them before they are fully up being a midget and all)
Jokes aside, it was a fantastic time.
Thanks to Mark and his crew for the food.
Thanks to Tazbabe and gang for beer and chat. It was great to meet up at last.
Thanks to Telford Viking for the quiz. (It was hard but not telling him, he's bigger than me. Think he's Thor without the roar!)
Thanks to Mrs Grumpy and co for finding site and organisation. The bouncy castle was definetely a hit! Can we have one next time?
Thanks to The Entertainers for your Bingo, raffle organisation, face painting, fish shop run, Tom 'Big Al Stone' Cruise singing along to the music!
(No Stumpy Joe, u cannot give me your cardboard, it is too late!)
Thanks to the Laner organisers for giving people time out in their cars. (Pity the rain didn't come before to cut down on dust so they could play in the mud). :iroc:
Thanks to Redders for your car breaking down so Keith could have his workshop and get up to his elbows in grease!
Thanks to The Beattie Brothers for their kids being good friends to Joseph.
Thanks to Daisy for an amazing musical evening sharing her fantastic talents for us all to hear.
But my best thanks go to Jetstream for showing my son the wonder of the stars on Sunday night!
It was great to put faces to names and realise how wonderful a group of people we had the privelege to meet, the children were especially good and got on so well. Roll on next year and yes to earlier in summer.

cant really add much more, as its all been said, really enjoyed it would have liked to stay up later at night but i do have to keep an eye on mal! (drink is a demon if you cant control it).
only one trhink to report to you chaps that like me were having kittens when we saw the scratches all down the sides of my "shinny new paj" it all came out with half a bottle of safecut and the electric buffer! took about 2 hours in total.
again a big thanks to all that put in the hard work to make the weekend a great success, any time of year is good for us for next mega-meet.

Just arrived back in Lincoln. Now got to work out how to get the awning dry
A big thanks to all for organising such a great MM07.
We spent the rest of the week on the site visiting the sights of Norfolk dodging rain showers (storms?)
The only other 'van on the site was near the exit so we had the whole of the site to ouselves. |

Hey up all ...
It all seems so long ago now, but despite our late booking of MM07 im really glad we decided to go last minute, we all loved it, just a shame it wasnt longer.
Thanks to all who put this event together, you can definately put our names down for MM08.
Just to clarify I was not drunk when i gambolled out of the gazebo, i just dont do deck chairs very well especially when a few beers are involved, i have now barred myself from sitting on such contraptions.
Special thanks Gareth for the recovery of our camera, we was sweating all that day and as you could tell we was so proud of the club when it turned up, thank you.
Bluemoon and ourselves later went on to finish the week off in Yarmouth and despite the weather still had a brill time thanks to Pete for the campsite recommendation.
Great Yarmouth and Norfolk in general has to be the Pajero/Shogun capital of the country, they are everywhere
Sorry to hear about your car Taz and Redders, My exhaust decided to depart company with the Paj and i foolishly left the skylight open on the van on the journey home, so its now on the A14 somewhere, apart from that im well pleased with the whole trip, the Paj done me proud.
Thanks everyone... great to meet you all again
Looking forward to the next meet already |
