the dvb box your looking at wont allow you to do this, you need to find one which allows another external input.

what you could do is run 1.5m rca extensions from the tuner and then it will be very quick to change over the equipment, i know this is not ideal but its a thought.

looks like it would, but i cant be held responsible if it didnt, but its something i would go for.  maybe 2 of them then the output from the second one would become the input on one of the ports of the first one, but it depends how much you want to add.

with 3 inputs you can choose either dvd, dvb, satnav, games console, ipod video player more cameras your phone and probanly more

Hi Sly

i have actually spoken to this company as they are quite local to me.  they also sent me the wiring diagrams for a l200 or shogun, however the wiring for the pajero is different to these.  the cost of this unit is 230pounds plus vat and although they dont normally do fitments to customers cars they offered to try and fit it to my paj for 330pounds plus vat.

if they cant isolate the rgb and sync and dont fit the unit then there would be no charge.  i was thinking of going this way at one point but decided against it due to the cost of it all.  i have fitted a motorised screen which has 2 camera inputs and another av input all for 50pounds, so there was a big saving there for me.

but the unit would be an easy fit for a shogun or l200 owner, if anyone has one of these and wants a pdf file of the wiring then let me know, at least you'll have a chance to see how easy or not the job is before starting it.

from that site, i would have gone for one from maplins at 80pounds which has av input, tv tuner, and camera input, but the one i had has 2 camera inputs, av input and tv tuner. so i thought why not put a nose out camera on it as well, or maybe 2 reverse cams one high one low, dont know yet waiting for cameras to arrive then i'll run a flying lead outside the car to see where my best positions are etc, but the good thing with the screen i bought i can choose either cam by button.

I plan to fit the oem into either the top glovebox or the spare slot below the heating controls if there is enough length on the cables, just purley to get the compass and aircon readings on the display. Would like to get tv/dvd input, but yet to figure out how ill do that one.
