Bought a new 2008 registered L200 crew cab 'Intense' in Apr 2009 (garage had brought in 3 of them for a builder end of 2008 but could only pay for 2 of them in the end - the remaining one was showroomed and I got approx 4000 off list). Great vechicle, great engine, bit noisy but to be expected with the 2.5ltr grunter under the bonnet. Full of comfort gear and all round enjoyable to drive. One complaint I'd have is changing a wheel can be a challenging exercise. |

i like my one
ok the suspension is hard the turning circle was carp (5min job to sort that)
but its doing everything that i wanted out of it
the other thing is you cant compare it to a pajero as its a commercial motor not a car you notice the diffrence in ride comfort when the back is well loaded up |

prefer the sport to the l200
as the l200 is a working vehicle its meant to be a bit unrefined
the sport is almost identical but with a few smoother refinements....
with the shoggies/paj's they've had years to tinker and refine them.......
they are far superior to the land rover equivalents and far cheaper to run and they don't rot either
the driving position and cab take a bit of getting used to as I'm 6ft so its shall we say 'snug'
but in my old disco i was rolling around in a wide open space getting hurled around off road the sports cab
keeps you snug and warm and cozy the later ones after driving aren't as good in my opinion i find the earlier ones better
don't know why this is? but the poser ones with the bling on are a harsher ride maybe its them silly wheels
my neighbours l200 is on its second head gasket and radiator on an 04 plate so it gets treat harsh
but they swear by it my 02 sport is serviced regular by me and i'm running steels with chunky tyres nice and soft...
its a joy to drive but i know from 05 on they're definately different |
