I know exactly what you mean. If the doors jammed, you ain't getting that panel off. When this happened to me, I was stuck for two weeks until I drove over a speed hump a bit too fast and hey presto, it opened. Not that I'm suggesting you do that, but it does take a jolt to free it and then you can get the door card off.
Good Luck. |

Hi hello
I think I have already posted this but can't find it anywhere my back door won't open (2.8 95 M LWB). Its especially bad as I am trying to sell it as I am picking up my new car at the end of the week. The door handle just flaps around do you guy's think this is a quick fix or not?
Thanks in advance |

Quick way, on the drivers door, hold the little stem on window edge, that locks the door, move this up and down very fast for a good time, this some times undoes the rear door mechanism, that has stuck, this done via the central locking network, go to the back door, see what happens.
When open, then some spray lube around the locks may help, other wise, if still locked, over the back seat, remove the door panel, and get to the lock that way, |

Oh Yes, the infamous stuck rear door. There are lots of posts on prevention, but they all rely on taking the door panel off, which obviously not going to happen if it's stuck. When this happened to me the only cure was to drive over speed humps a bit sharpish and it freed it. Other methods are a blow or kick (softly) above the inner door handle.
Good Luck |

Heres the link to same question.(Funnily enough I was just hunting for it as my door is stuck and handle doing the 'flapping' motion of what appears a knackered mechanism). Fear not this link should/could help. . .

spray wd40 in the slot above and below rear door lock handle leave for half hour and the give it a few firm taps with your hand around the lock worked for me.. if not use the method descibed above but when i did that the central locking thingy moved and i had to take drivers door card off to tighten it up again... |

Paj 94 swb 2.8 - rear door lock has become non-responsive (just moves in hand without engaging) - So door locked shut - No obvious screws etc for getting through back panel from inside (is it clipped?) - any ideas from forum welcome ... Thanks P |
